What about this: ITR supercharged, I?ve set timing to stock 16 degrees cause of the BTC unit. No detonation! MY BTC is off!
What?s about when I advance my timing to 20 degrees?
Is this possible with 98 octane? Do I need other sparks too?

No one else piped in, so I will.
I think you're playing with fire. Advancing to 20 degrees is something not even non-SC Integras do often.
Also, I bet the JR BTC take's that 0 setting you are on and advances timing from 1000-3000rpm and over 5000 rpms.
I think the JR BTC advances timing from 1000-3000 rpms whatever the setting. At 16 degrees static, the JR BTC probably takes you up to 18 until 3000 rpm.
These are all just slightly intelligent guesses, but advancing your timing on a supercharged Honda sounds to me like a quick way to toast your engine.
Good luck.

????????I?m dumb????????or what???????
I?ve thougt that the BTC can only retard timing and not advance it. Why it should timing advance to 18 until 3000, when stock is 16?

Here's a quote from Jim Helbing (JRCivic):
"The BTC [snip] the timing is slightly advanced from idle to 3000; then progressively retarded from 3000 to 5000; then barely advanced again from 5500 to redline. [snip]"
He was one of the first people to get them and is a JR Distributor.
What I think that means is that the BTC takes your static timing, whether it's 14, 16 or 20 degrees and advances from there between idle and 3000rpm.

Reading Holden's post above, I have the following question. When the BTC unit is in an "advance" mode at low or high RPM, if you are under boost at the same time, I assume it is still retarding based on the setting of the boost retard knob? For example, I have static timing at 16, with my BTC at 1 degree retard per PSI boost (mid setting on knob). For discussion purposes, I'll assume the BTC advances at 2 degrees at high and low RPM. Based on this, I would arrive at the conclusion that at high and low RPM, at 6 PSI boost, my timing would be 16+2-6=12 degrees. At mid RPM, I would be at 16-6=10.
I plan to take my car to a dyno as I have changed nothing to my setup but the BTC and would like to see if what I think I feel at low and high RPM is real. My take was that the car felt stronger in high and low ranges (which makes sense with the description of its operation). Also, the power curve overall feels smoother, more like its stock state drivability. Hopefully, the torque curve will look a little flatter rather than like a heart attack.
